Why do I have only one hard drive in the system?

he second hard disk is only used with an installation with RAID. If you ordered an installation without RAID, the second hard disk is not used. If you want to use it, you must partition, format and integrate the hard disk into your system. Following is a guide for Linux: partition hard disk partition fdisk / dev / sdb within the command surface press the following keys: create a new partition key n partition number key 1 accept the start cylinder feed return the end cylinder endpoint return write the partition key w after successful partitioning the hard disk has to be formatted Mkfs.ext3 / dev / sdb1 now only the mount point of the hard disk (the directory under which it should be accessible) has to be entered into the / etc / fstab. Please note that the directory must exist before. The entry could be e.g. : / Dev / sdb1 / second-hard drive ext3 acl, user_xattr 1 2 For further information, see: On the page: http://www.linux-ag.de/linux/LHB/node153.html In Windows, you can perform the partitioning and formatting via the item: Start => Administration => Computer Management => Data Storage.
